PLEASE NOTE: All exterior installations by Preston Studios are mounted behind existing safety glass.

 

Preparation
Image 1. Windows are brought to the site on a wooden board. A carpenter has removed the inside trim (quarter-round) in preparation for the installation.

 

Placement
Image 2. John Emery lifts the window into place up against the existing exterior safety glass. He holds the glass in two places by the zinc border surrounding it.

Nailing the Trim
Image 4. Jerry Preston nailing the trim back in place. This is usually handled by a carpenter.

 

Counter Sinking
Image 5. Jerry counter-sinking the nails all around on the trim to hold the glasswork firmly in place.

 

Cleaning
Image 6. The final touch-up includes a thorough cleaning and buffing of the installed glass
